Lawler students and staff have been busy collecting food and netted enough to fill 50 Christmas dinner baskets.

US Baseball Academy is bringing Spring Training to GCHS in February. The nation’s largest training program provides young players with advanced instruction by some of the area’s best coaches. Advance registration required, deadline extended. Register today!

GCMS Cougar Zone joined bel Brands USA to deliver some holiday cheer to BeeHive Assisted Living and countywide nursing/rehab residents, as students distributed warm blankets provided by the company. 
Jackson Parker, Noah Gawarecki and Mason Parker with instruments
Jackson Parker, Noah Gawarecki, and Mason Parker have been selected for All-State Band. More than a thousand musicians auditioned for one of the prized chairs. They will perform at the KY Center for the Arts during the annual KMEA Conference in February.

Principal Jim Blain and CTE students welcome 8th graders to the Tech Center
The Tech Center recently hosted GCMS 8th graders to introduce them to Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and promote career awareness. The event was held as part of the statewide Unite to Serve effort, which consists of three components: literacy, career awareness, and advocacy.

Hitting all the right notes this week as 17 (yes, 17) GCMS students are selected for All-District Orchestra. Find out who will represent Grayson County . . . 
4th District Symphonic Band members
Grayson County High School will be well-represented in the 4th District, All-District Symphonic Band, the top ensemble in the district.
