8th grade GCMS all district band
GCMS will have 21 students performing in the Fourth District, All-District Band, Satruday, Feb. 23 at Taylor County High School.
 
 
DECA Regional Award Winners
GCHS DECA came away from Regional competition with 18 students placing 1st in their event, and all 30 competitors qualifying for state conference in March.  
Clarkson Elementary Academic Team
Grayson County elementary schools recently competed in District Governors Cup academic team competition, with Clarkson taking first place, and Lawler a close second. Students districtwide medaled in written assessment areas. 
All-State concert Band on Stage
GCHS students performed at the Center for the Arts with students from across Kentucky during All-State weekend, the highest honor for a high school musician. 
GCMS Spelling Bee winners
Congratulations to our County Spelling Bee winners! At the middle school level, 1st Place went to Landon Shiarella, 2nd to Kadie Monin, and 3rd Place was taken by Chris Vincent. Landon will represent Grayson County in the statewide KY Derby Festival Spelling Bee this spring. 
GCHS FCCLA Competitors with awards certificates

GCHS Winterguard team
It doesn’t get any better than 1st place out of 13 teams. Congratulations to the GCHS Winterguard on a stellar day at the Stones River Winter Classic . . .  
Clarkson class with Dow Chemical reps and Chromebooks
Ms. Tracy Bryant’s Clarkson third graders are super excited about their new Chromebooks, thanks to a $5,000 grant from Dow Chemical 
Chevy Lindsey, Clayton Killen, Emily Lush, and Hunter Aymond with Recycling bins
Teamwork, communication, responsibility – intangible, soft skills that make a real difference in the real world. GCHS Special Education teachers Brandy Weedman and Angela DeJarnette have been helping students develop those skills as they also take care of their school and the environment.
