GCMS members of the UoL Honors Orchestra
Eight GCMS students recently performed in the University of Louisville Middle School Honors Orchestra. Grace Henderson, Michell Lynch, Mia Whitfill, Emma Embry, Dawson Gorby, Ava St. Clair, Elliot Horn, and Austin Walker were among the more than 100 nominated from across the state. 
Musical Scale, All State Chorus - Decorative
A record 20 Grayson County students have been selected to perform with the Kentucky American Choral Directors Association (KYACDA) Jr. High All State Chorus for students in grades 7 - 9. 
Alex Hazelwood and Adam French
Alex Hazelwood recently fiddled his way to a 5th Place finish in the Apprentice Fiddler (11 – 15) category at the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddler’s Convention. 
Harvey relief trip team members
GCMS’ LeaAnn Frank and Clarkson’s Priscilla Allen were among locals who spearheaded a Fall Break relief trip to Orange and Vidor, TX to help with rebuilding after Hurricane Harvey.

GCMS Honors Choir members
GCMS and  choral students recently participated in the KMEA 4th District Honors Choir at Campbellsville University. Vocalists learn their selections ahead of the weekend event, then polish before an event-capping performance. 
Decorative, Entrepreneurship Challenge Banner
High School students have an incredible opportunity to win up to $100,000 in scholarships by competing in the 2018 Lt. Gov.’s Entrepreneurship Challenge (LGEC) 2018. Registration deadline is October 31, 2017. Visit the Challenge website or see your guidance counselor for more information.
