Exploring future options took on a real-world point of view as dozens of businesses, colleges and military turned out for the annual GCHS College and Career Fair for juniors and seniors.

Jackson Parker, senior GCHS Band trombonist, will play in the prestigious National Association for Music Education’s (NAfME) 2017 All-National Honor Ensembles, Nov. 26-29, at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. 
Jr High All State Chorus Members
GCMS and GCHS students selected for the American Choral Directors Jr. High All-State Choir performed Nov 4 at the Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington. 
All-State Choir members
The KY Music Educators All-State Choir has been selected and will include eight GCHS students.  
GCHS All-State Orchestra members
A record-breaking eight GCHS students have earned a chair in the very competitive All-State Orchestra. Congratulations Tessa Whittaker, Kali Ramsey, Michael Dennis, Evan Clark, Austin Clark, Stevie Phillips, Payton Abney and Katlyn Guyton.

Congratulations to 1st Place Deaf/Hard of Hearing Spelling Bee winners Stephenie Miller (GCHS) and Raelyn Swearis (Wilkey). The accomplishment sends them both to State competition in December. 
GCMS members of the UoL Honors Orchestra
Eight GCMS students recently performed in the University of Louisville Middle School Honors Orchestra. Grace Henderson, Michell Lynch, Mia Whitfill, Emma Embry, Dawson Gorby, Ava St. Clair, Elliot Horn, and Austin Walker were among the more than 100 nominated from across the state.
